Saya ibu rumah tangga, 44 th, mantan dosen matematika (pernah di Unpar juga 1 thn), punya anak autis 14 thn, anggota komunitas ortu anak autis. Nah, tadi itu sempat ramai di milis, krn ternyata Bima mengucapkan sesuatu yg dimuat di Kompas hal.1? Saya percaya, niat Bima baik, utk menggugah elite parpol yg rabun thdp masalah sosial yg ada, tapi kalimat tambahannya itu lho yang kurang sreg (ada istilah "autisme sosial").

Anak autis memang punya kesulitan komunikasi, tapi mereka punya kepekaan terhadap masalah sosial!

Malah seorang anak teman saking begitu menghayati, sampai menangisi masalah sosial yg ada + ngerti perlunya mencegah global warming. (Hebat kan!!) Dan itu semua diketahui ortunya dari komunikasi dengan ketikan (krn anaknya masih non verbal).

Salah kaprah kalau kita menyandingkan autisme (= antara lain punya masalah
bersosialisasi) dengan tidak peka thdp masalah sosial.

Bedakan antara: masalah dalam bersosialisasi ("get socialized") vs masalah sosial.

Mas Bima, Saya salud dengan ulasan2 anda saya baru nengikuti kiprah anda sejak di acara The Young Candidate dan ketika ramai menjelang Pemilu Legislatif bahkan ketika tgl 9 & 10 April kemarin saya melihat Mas Bima full time di TVone. Selain komentar2 yg logis penyampainnya pun sagat jelas dan enak didengar...:D
Dan Mas Bima adalah salah satu pemuda Indonesia yg Luar biasa.
